Part2:Differences between single cylinder and multiple cylinder cone crusher

  • Different parts providing crushing force

    Single cylinder

The single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher is similar with the spring cone crusher. The main shaft and the moving cone are combined and carried by the bowl-shaped tile. Therefore, the main shaft and the head are supported by the base, and the eccentric sleeve drives the main shaft to provide the crushing force.

    Multiple cylinder

The main shaft of multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher is short and thick, and its diameter can be designed very large. It stands directly on the frame (not in the eccentric sleeve). It is directly supported by the frame and provides high bearing capacity. The eccentric bushing make the head move directly.

The different structures of the single-cylinder and multi-cylinder cone crusher determine that the force of the frame is different when they work. One is subjected to tensile stress, and another one is subjected to weak tensile stress,.So the multi-cylinder cone crusher is superior in the construction of the frame.

  • Different counterweight

    Single-cylinder:Heavy and Thick

    Multi-cylinder:Heavy and Thin

For the single-cylinder cone crusher, when the main shaft and the head move toward the tight side, the thick side of the eccentric bushing is at the wide mouth. And the center of gravity of the entire moving cone is biased toward the tight side.So it needs a counterweight to balance the entire head. Not only that, when the main shaft and the head move toward the tight side, the wide mouth will accumulate a lot of materials. It will form a resistance to the movement of the moving cone to the wide mouth. The weight is added to make the moving cone easier.

The main shaft of the multi-cylinder cone crusher is not like that, so the weight should only be considered for the eccentric bushing.
